Amanda Brugel

Brugel is the only Canadian part of the Season 1 cast. Her appearance was limited to on occasion. Since then, she has been a part of the cast ever since. When discussing her role and the resemblances with her daily life that isn't captured by the cameras In her interview, Brugel could share her personal experiences with racist treatment to the "Marthas" and claiming, for instance, "I use it, not only in her position in the house as a Martha, but I very strongly lean on race and, like I mentioned earlier the past, which includes experiences where you feel that I've been a slave to situations simply because of the color of my skin. Though I've not experienced physical violence because of my skin color and I've certainly been the victim of the verbal abuse. In the series I'll employ any variety of racial epithets or slurs which make me feel like someone has hit me.
