Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor, who was renowned for her wide variety of roles in films TV, theatre, and film. She has received many accolades including the Daytime Emmy Award. Jaime Lee Curtis later took on the role. Carpenter said it was Anne's first selection for the role but she refused. Anne claims that she doesn't remember being approached or even offered the role in any way by John Carpenter. Agents could have rejected the role for her, but not even known. She was initially chosen to play the role by Glen Larson who sent her a very preliminary script for a role in the 1978 television series Battlestar Galactica. The role was initially rejected because the character was not that powerful. Glen later wrote a part to her, which featured an extremely strong character named Sheba. The Living Legend, the initial twenty-five pages she read it was immediately embraced. It ran for a single season. The show also featured her with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977. In addition, she co-starred with Michael Moriarty as The Dark Tower in 1987.
